White Bird attends Dance/USA’s Annual Conference in LA
Last week, part of the White Bird team traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Dance/USA Annual Conference. We met with dance industry colleagues and networked with over 500 professionals in the field. Focusing on issues of equity and justice, community and collaboration, audience development, preservation and legacy, the conference enabled the dance community in our country to come together and discuss ways to move the art form forward. A highlight of the conference was when Keynote speaker Roberta Uno, theater director, writer, and national arts leader, who is presently director of Arts in a Changing America, opened our minds and unlocked our adversities with poetic justice at The Music Center in downtown Los Angeles.
