Of course we encourage you to go to every and any show you can because we think we have a pretty great line up ;) but if you want a more specific answer you should look to your zodiac sign. That’s right, I’ve paired up our twelve shows with what I believe to be their most fitting counterpart of the astrological signs. If you know about your sign, I hope you find my pairing appropriate. If you don’t, hopefully you’ll learn a little about yourself and find a great show to go to in the process. Below are the dates that correlate with each zodiac sign so find your birthday and see what show you should join us for!

Momix - Aries

Aries are often described as bold, upbeat, positive, and playful; I couldn’t think of a better show to pair with these characteristics than Momix. Momix brings a sophistication to this light-hearted and youthful energy that Aries tend to have. Aries are also astrologically known as the youngest of the zodiac, which is fitting in this scenario seeing as Momix is an all ages performance. This association with youth also means that Aries tend to approach everything like it is their first time experiencing it which will definitely ring true when you attend the Momix show. The child within will fawn at the wonder and spectacle that is Momix in their aweinspring illusions and beauty. This is a show that will keep you engaged and excited at every turn.

Sasha Waltz & Guests - Scorpio

A Scorpio in our office made it clear to me that Sasha Waltz & Guests was the right show for this zodiac sign and I think that speaks to the sign’s awareness of their personal depth. Scorpios are intuitive, passionate, and empathetic making them strongly in touch with themselves and the world around them. These are traits one will see and experience when watching Körper. This piece looks at the relationship between spirit and body which will resonate strongly with Scorpios. There is also a strong level of intimacy both between the dancers, and the dancers and the audience which can be appreciated by this sign.

CNDC-Angers/Robert Swinston - Leo

Leos like to have the red carpet rolled out for them so they will be able to appreciate seeing work done by ‘modern dance royalty’ Merce Cunningham. CNDC-Angers/Robert Swinston are bringing two spectacular works, Biped and Beach Birds, by Cunningham that will tap into the theatrical and artistic side of a Leo. Similar to the implications of having the zodiac symbol of a lion, there is a sense of pride that comes with viewing such historic work. Leos also appreciate a sense of stability because they are a fixed sign so it did well to pair it with a technique such as Cunningham.
