NEST - No Empty Seats Today

NEST is a cornerstone program of White Bird’s community engagement. Created 21 years ago, NEST partners with non-profit health and human service organizations in Portland. Through generous sponsorship by The Standard and Starseed Foundation, NEST provides subscriptions to the White Bird Dance Series to the clients of our partner organizations in addition to tickets donated by White Bird subscribers and single-ticket buyers.  Each year, White Bird offers over 200 contributed tickets to our NEST partner organizations.

For NEST recipients, this program provides access to world-class dance presented through White Bird - a special and rewarding experience for many of the recipients.

Land Acknowledgement

White Bird is located in Portland, Oregon in Multnomah County.

We honor the Indigenous people whose traditional and ancestral homelands we stand on, the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tumwater, Watlala bands of the Chinook, the Tualatin Kalapuya and many other Indigenous nations of the Columbia River.

It is important to acknowledge the ancestors of this place and to recognize that we are here because of the sacrifices forced upon them.

In remembering these communities, we honor their legacy, their lives, and their descendants.
