Click to read the Eugene Weekly Cover Story “Black Movement Matters” written by Rachael Carnes.

Legendary hip hop choreographer Rennie Harris returns to White Bird Uncaged with his newest work Lifted, combining gospel music and house dance to explore contemporary issues of community and spirituality. Loosely based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, Lifted follows a young black man who is surrounded and supported by his church community. Harris’ new work promises to be an exhilarating and moving epic dance narrative.
