Wayne McGregor | Random Dance made its memorable Portland debut in 2005 when the White Bird/PSU Dance Series introduced McGregor's drastically fast and articulate choreographic style. McGregor shapes his movement into lush futuristic shapes, allowing the human body to move in unexpected ways. Wayne McGregor | Random Dance will conclude White Bird's two year Uncaged series with McGregor's new work Entity that has drawn unanimous raves from international dance critics. An hour-long breathtaking journey through a soundscape created by Coldplay and Massive Attack collaborator Jon Hopkins, and award-winning composer Joby Talbot, Entity is a dazzling blend of bodies, lights, technology and film that mark McGregor at the cutting edge of contemporary culture.
