"The kind of audacious, witty work that makes you excited about dance." - The Georgia Straight (Vancouver, BC)
From Vancouver, Canada
Artistic Director Crystal Pite
Lost Action
Imagine you are a fighter - unrestrained, irreverent, defiant. Your actions are pivotal - each change of direction extends your perspective of the possible. That's the modus operandi of Kidd Pivot, brainchild of Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite, hailed as one of the most brilliant dance artists working today. In Lost Action, Pite has assembled a dynamic group of seven dancers who sculpt space in real-time, working inside a form - dance - that is constantly in a state of vanishing. Set to an original score by composer Owen Belton, Lost Action celebrates the intricacy and freedom of the articulated body and unfolds to reveal the pulsating heart at its innermost core.
