"Shaker is so beautiful and touching that it hurts, like a poem that strikes the right chords." - Jerusalem Post
From Israel
Artistic Directors Avshalom Pollak and Inbal Pinto
Shaker
Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak's Oyster was the culmination and revelation of White Bird's 2005-06 season. Our audience was captivated by the theatricality and unique dance movement of two of the most inventive artists working in Israel today. White Bird is excited to present their newest work Shaker, which is inspired by the little glass snow globes that fill with snowflakes every time you shake them. Pinto and Pollak have created a dreamlike work set in a snowy landscape, in which dancers mysteriously appear and disappear. Magical, surreal, dangerous, and playful - these adjectives barely touch on the richness of experiencing Shaker in its otherworldly splendor.
Running Time: 1 hour without intermission
