Paul King Biography
Paul King, Co-Founder of White Bird, is a Cordon-Bleu-trained Chef and serves as President of the White Bird Board. Paul just completed a six-year term as a board member of Travel Portland; he continues to serve on Travel Portland’s Community Action Committee. He also sits on the boards of Dance/USA, California Presenters, Portland’s Northwest Business for Culture and the Arts (NW/BCA), and the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA), where he acts as Co-Curator of the semi-annual Pitch Session. Beginning last January 2008, he is serving as Chair of the ISPA Programming Committee. Representing NW/BCA, he served on the Steering Committee for the new Arts Partners Program, which based on a program in Dallas, Texas, acts as a coordinator bringing together performing arts organizations’ outreach efforts in the public school systems of the Portland region; he is now a member of the Advisory Board. He is also Co Chair of the NW/BCA Member Services Committee. Paul was recently elected Chair Elect of the Board of Dance/USA, a national service organization for dance, where he will take over as Chair in June 2009.
