U.S and West Coast Premieres. Israel has long been a hotbed of contemporary dance, with Batsheva Dance Company at its epicenter. In a thrilling shared program, Hillel Kogan, Batsheva rehearsal director, will bring his award-winning duet We Love Arabs, involving Jewish and Arab religious identity, national symbols, and hummus! White Bird is commissioning Danielle Agami, former Batsheva dancer, to create a new work EXHIBIT b for her Los Angeles-based company Ate9 that will overflow with Agami’s strong physicality, humor and theatricality.
