"
original, heartfelt and full of the stuff that makes me love dance in the first place." - Trey McIntyre, choreographer
One of the Pacific Northwest’s finest choreographers, Josie Moseley has captivated audiences for over twenty years with her solo performances and group pieces set on various artists and companies worldwide. White Bird is excited to bring her company Josie Moseley Dance to the White Bird stage for the first time. Influenced by modern dance pioneers Isadora Duncan, Anna Sokolow and José Limón, Moseley has created dances with an inherent musicality, a deep emotional core and an expansive, passionate and humanistic approach to movement. Join us for an unforgettable evening of new and retrospective work, performed by an ensemble of Portland’s finest dancers. Highlights will be revivals of "Quiet Stories" and "With," originally created for
Oregon Ballet Theatre, and a new piece "In Their Bones," commissioned by White Bird.
