Glorious Dance from Canada's Finest Choreographer James Kudelka!
Based in Montreal, Canada, Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie is a group of immensely talented and deeply committed performers centered around the partnership of internationally acclaimed choreographers Bill Coleman and Laurence Lemieux. This extraordinary company, comprised of eleven of Canada’s finest dancers, will make its Portland debut with a program highlighting the work of James Kudelka, former Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Canada. Recognized as one of North America’s foremost dance artists, Kudelka is rare in his ability to blend classical and modern dance forms. The evening will feature Kudelka’s “Fifteen Heterosexual Duets,” a hit of New York’s Fall for Dance Festival, praised by
The New York Times as, “…the evening’s jewel…. full of ingenious partnering.”
